Turning Digital Geology into Art

Turning Digital Geology into Art is an exhibition from 21-30 August 2019, hosted by Testing Grounds in collaboration with Golder.
The exhibition utilises geological data and samples from geotechnical investigations undertaken at the Testing Grounds site by Golder. As artist in residence I was commissioned to create work in response to the data, which shows the evolution of the site’s geology over the last 3.5 million years.
Golder’s short films show some of the temporal works created and tested as a part the residency and exhibition. These explored ways to visualise accelerated geological processes and how dressing practices occur at an urban scale.
